Welcome to my Blog.
I am a dreamer like the girl in "Bridge to Terabithia"
but not a dainty little American blonde child, more a cuddly over 40 British woman with a big smile. I live in my own little world made out of crochet. Being a happy hippy tattooed Earth Mama with Fibromyalgia and five sons can be a challenge so I blog my journey of trying to find balance in my world. I paint rainbows as I go and sprinkle some love and glitter.
Hi, I am Ness, welcome to my blog, I am a Mother to five sons, Holistic and Alternative Therapist, Writer, Blogger, Fibromyalgia & M.E Fighter, Buddhism & happy hippie smiley person.
If you found me it is possible you either have a Fibromyalgia, you are a woman or a Mummy like me so already we have something massive in common! Any of these things or simply adulting can make us lose sight of all the wonderful things within our life. It is so easy to lose your smile and the ability to appreciate the simple wonderful things around you. Hopefully, I can help shine some love and light on your smile again. I am a curvy plus-size forty-five-year-old excitable female with her head in the clouds. My Earth Mamma, hippie ways keep me smiling on the painful days. Also, it helps greatly being a qualified Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, Advanced Massage therapist and someone who tries to maintain Buddhism beliefs helps my inner peace.
I try my best each day to love life and create a positive happy existence, some days are easier than others. Lately, I find so much relaxation from crochet. I get so excited about new wool! Positivity is not something that happened over night for me so please do not think I am one of them people that thinks a positive quote shared on social media will cure you, it would be wonderful if life worked that way and we could just wake up one day and say I am going to think happy and the world will be wonderful, it takes practice but I will share with you all I know so you made a great first step being with me.
Crochet is my kind of relaxation.
Starting a patchwork Granny Blanket.
I adore pretty colours
I am a happy content lady but I work at my happiness daily. Life can sometimes be a bitch I agree, but I still love it so much. I hope I can make you smile even on the days when you really do not feel like.
The place I call home.
I was raised in Liverpool, North West of England (where The Beatles are from). In our family, there is:
Five sons ages 22, 20, 18, 13, 11.
Two fur babies, Seamus an adorable black Labrador and Maggie a bossy little Shih Tzu.
A tiny tortoise called Tommy Shelby.
Back in 2007, when my sons were age 1, 4, 9, 10 and 12 we became a single parent family. We went everywhere together, locally I became known as
THE GIRL WITH THE FIVE LADS.
This then became the inspiration for my blog name.
My sons are my world but if I was asked to list the things I love outside of them:
Feeling content with my little space in the world.
Sharing love and smiles.
Unicorns and rainbows
Colourful clothing and surroundings.
The hobbies of a 70-year-old Nan, I love Jam making, baking, sewing, knitting, quilting.
Mugs of tea in pretty mugs and vintage tea cups.
My two dogs, they are my loyal furbabies.
Cake, proper homemade stuff not synthetic fluff.
Real people who speak their mind.
Having a laugh, a real belly hurting laugh.
Polka dot anything.
Old buildings and architecture.
The seaside in every season.
Being comfortable in my body and mind.
Hot water bottles.
Red lipstick and black eyeliner.
Art on canvas and on the skin.
Meditation and complementary therapies.
Writing, I adore writing!
I write from the heart and often speak my mind sometimes it is a blessing, sometimes a curse. I am funny, brutally honest and open about all aspects of my life. My blog is a true account of my life with my five sons and how I fill my world with colour and crochet happiness.
I am also the creator of the facebook support group Women with Fibromyalgia. It currently has a massive twenty thousand members so I spend a lot of time there chatting with like minded women.
It is so lovely to have you here with me.
Thank you for finding me here
