Review- Yankee Candle Wax melts Peony, Verbena & Garden Sweetpea

With spring in full bloom in England, I was delighted to receive some new Yankee Candle wax melts to review. As a chronic ill lady candles and wax melts are a great way to bring the fresh smell of beautiful blooms indoors if you do not get out much.

What is a wax melt?

Wax tarts are basically scented wax without the wick. You melt them in an oil scent burner/tart burner. The wax melts and the whole room is filled with aroma.

The tarts/melts I am reviewing are

  1. Peony wax melt
  2. Verbena wax melt
  3. Garden Sweetpea
In our house, we had a week of floral blooms and it was truly uplifting.

The house smelt like I should be barefoot in a floaty dress drinking homemade lemonade poured from a vintage glass jug as I sit on the veranda looking out at my white picket fence. (I think I will have a deep Southern American accent as well)

Although the house has not been spruced it just feels summery and fresh. (This is a bonus!)

Being a chronic migraine sufferer I avoid strong smells. In the past perfumed candles have brought on a severe attack. These melts are not so overpowering, beautiful floral tones that left the room and hall with subtle tones of flowers like if you were walking through florists on delivery day.

I would have placed a bet on my favourite being Peony but nope it was definitely Verbena for me.

Top tip is you do not need a full melt each time. I only used half per melty session and this worked just as effective.

Each melt retails at £1.49 you can grab a bargain in some large supermarkets now have them. I have never bothered with a posh Yankee Candle burner (although it is my birthday in September hint) until then I use a 99p store burner and it works great.

Let me know if you use this product and what you think?
